The team behind Lincoln Park’s legendary John Barleycorn opened the original Clark St. location of Moe’s Cantina in 2005, in the heart of the Wrigleyville on Chicago’s North Side. The bustling Wrigleyville neighborhood, which is part of Chicago’s Lakeview community, is centered around Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs.

In December 2010 the Kinzie St. venue opened in River North, the North Side neighborhood located just north of the Loop and the Main Branch of the Chicago River.  The neighborhood is teeming with art galleries, boutiques, high-end furniture stores and is one of Chicago’s premier dining and nightlife destinations. Moe’s Cantina River North features close proximity to the Merchandise Mart, Michigan Avenue and State Street shopping, The Chicago Riverwalk, The Theater District and many major hotels.

Both locations feature Mexican fare with Spanish and South American influences, including mesquite-grilled skewers, sharable hot and cold plates such as tacos, flautas and Mexican sliders, and full-sized entrees including fajitas, paella and steamed mussels in a spicy white wine-tomato sauce. The cocktail menu features selections such as housemade sangria, handmade margaritas, premium tequilas, domestic and imported beers, and more.

Décor highlights at both locations include concrete bars and flooring, exposed brick walls, custom-made wrought iron chandeliers and open kitchens with mesquite-burning grills. Oversized retractable glass doors open for an alfresco vibe inside at both venues in the summer months and the River North location offers outdoor seating on a spacious sidewalk café. Both locations easily accommodate large groups with booth seating and communal tables. Semi-private and private party options are available at both locations.
